Frequently Asked Questions
How are products ranked on TopSold?
Every product ranking on TopSold is based on Amazon UK bestseller data — specifically, sales volume within each product category. The #1 product in any category is simply the one UK shoppers bought most. We don't editorially select, promote, or reorder products. The data does the talking.
How often is the data updated?
We refresh all 1,800+ categories every day. Rankings are updated overnight so what you see each morning reflects the most recent Amazon UK sales data available. The date of the last update is shown on every category page.
Why might I not recognise some of the #1 bestsellers?
That's one of the most interesting things about real sales data — the UK's bestselling products aren't always the ones with the biggest marketing budgets. Some of the most consistently purchased products on Amazon UK are unbranded, unadvertised, and completely unknown outside of the people who quietly keep buying them. TopSold surfaces them.
Is TopSold affiliated with Amazon?
TopSold is an independent site and a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. We earn a small commission on purchases made through our links at no extra cost to you. This commercial relationship does not influence our rankings — products appear based solely on their sales performance.
Can I trust these rankings?
The rankings reflect real Amazon UK purchase data, not curated lists or paid placements. They represent what UK shoppers actually spent money on. That said, Amazon's data reflects a specific moment in time and rankings can shift quickly — always check the update date on each page.
Why are some categories much larger than others?
TopSold mirrors Amazon UK's category structure as closely as possible. Some parent categories like Sports & Outdoors or Business & Science contain hundreds of subcategories because that's how Amazon organises them. We cover all of them.
Do the products change regularly?
Yes — some categories are very stable with the same products holding top positions for months. Others move quickly, particularly in electronics, fashion, and seasonal categories. The Trending page shows which categories are seeing the most movement right now.
What's the difference between TopSold and Amazon's own bestseller lists?
Amazon's bestseller lists are spread across thousands of individual category pages, mixed in with sponsored products and recommendations. TopSold brings all of that data together in one structured, ad-free, easy-to-navigate place — so you can browse across categories, spot trends, and find what you're looking for in a fraction of the time.
How do I use TopSold?
Browse by category using the navigation, or search for any product type in the search bar. Each category shows the top 10 bestselling products. Click "View on Amazon" to go straight to the product page and make your purchase. That's it.
Is TopSold free to use?
Completely free. Always.
